Calgary Saddledome
Creating an engaging experience for the fans
We are continuously asked to create content to be played on the screens at the Calgary Saddledome to show the partnership with the stadium and information to the public about the free WiFi provided by TELUS, and how to access it.
For these screens, the messaging needs to be simple, clear, and easy to follow.
We have to use the critter that is currently on trend, which in this case it was the Red Panda, and as always, stay on brand.
The challenge while creating any screen for the stadium, is to find the best way to show the content in a way that, if it’s seen over a TV Signal, the content would not get lost because of the brightness of the screens.
All of this needed to be done while all screens stayed synced with one another.
All screens across the stadium had to have the same elements and match in timing, as well as the spots delivered via Social Media.
At the Calgary Saddle dome there are four Jumbotrons, six matrix boards, two different ring boards and a third one know as the row 14 board. All these screens have different sizes and aspect ratios.
At the same time, we had the same spot playing across the screens in the gangways and hallways and another one to be transmitted via the WiFi, much in the style of a Vine video.
